Description
Portrait of a woman asleep in the bright atmosphere of a summer afternoon. The cozy decor of the southern house, frozen in time since the 1970s, dominates the space of the canvas, infusing a nostalgic and timeless aura. The room, enveloped in warm darkness, creates a cocoon of softness and tranquility. At the heart of this universe, the model sleeps, curled up in the folds of the bed, seeming to be captivated by her own dreams. Her body is as if caught by the drapery, suggesting a deep immersion in a dreamlike world.
This work draws inspiration from a vacation scene, capturing both the essence of summer relaxation and the depth of inner aspirations. Through this painting, the portrait of a woman in harmony with her environment, yet withdrawn, absorbed by the twists and turns of her imagination, emerges. Léa Dedieu takes advantage of the summer to paint vacation scenes. Each painting is made up of details that tell a story, and each color is chosen with care. These paintings recall summer vacations and echo with happy moments spent with loved ones and tender vacation memories.
Presentation
Léa Dedieu, a young designer, graduated from the Toulouse School of Fine Arts, creates objects and furnishes spaces. Fascinated by color, she draws her inspiration from the work of the Impressionists, Pop culture, the acid reflections of Maurizio Cattelan and contemporary designers, Pierre Charpin, Bertjan Pot or Marcel Wanders. What she likes is experimenting without material limits. Before each creation, she draws, flattens geometric shapes and measures. Between two technical drawings hides his graphic universe. Painting, pencil, watercolor, felt-tip pens, Indian ink ... All mediums are used to invent an imposing flower, a silhouette, a decoration. A complete artist, she is overflowing with creativity and the desire to create.
