Blue Sunshine, 2024

Sandrine Hartmann

This abstract artwork, dominated by shades of blue, is a true visual symphony. Painted with a rich palette of deep blues, azures and turquoises, it evokes an abyssal and dreamlike feeling. The vertical and horizontal brushstrokes intersect harmoniously, creating a dynamic and vibrant texture. The areas of light, where the blue becomes lighter, seem to capture and reflect the light, adding an almost three-dimensional depth to the canvas. The dark, almost black touches contrast with the lighter hues, guiding the eye through a complex but balanced composition. There is a fascinating interplay between the translucent and opaque sections, giving the impression of looking through a contemporary stained glass window. This work can be interpreted as an exploration of infinity, where each shade of blue represents a different emotion or thought, merging to form a harmonious but mysterious whole. The artist demonstrates a perfect mastery of color and form. The absence of defined lines allows for a free and personal interpretation, with each observer being able to project their own perceptions and feelings onto it. This piece is not only a tribute to the beauty of abstract art, but it also offers an introspective journey to those who take the time to observe it in depth.
