Description
We are not equal but different. I am a white man and my wife is black. Natives from distant lands, from opposite cultures, our children are bilingual and caramel. Each human being is unique. And when he becomes aware of it and blossoms in the sense of its originality, he realizes that he is an integral and complementary part of the universe that surrounds him. Just like everything else. Tolerance then becomes obvious, all frontiers vanish, harmony sets in and only the human remains free! We will dance on an equal footing the day when we will contemplate together the beauty of the world. Diptych, oil on canvas. Ready to hang Bill and certificate of authenticity.
Presentation
Artist Statement:
After artistic studies at Paris, I have been painting in various parts of the world for more than 20 years. From my native Champagne to Crete, Limousin to Benin and after ten years in Madagascar, i have been living in the Reunion island where the varied landscapes are a great inspiration.
Through all the shapes and colors existing in nature, i try to decipher the messages, the vibratory language, by using them as a pure mode of expression, beyond the symbolic, beyond what is recognizable as an object, beyond words, beyond what we can see.
Each of my paintings is a representation of the questions I ask myself, doubts and discoveries, a slice of the experience of my feelings, a graphic interrogation of our existence and our essence.
These are snapshots of my soul.
I paint the world as i perceive it in its mystery.
