Description
This artwork presents a captivating interplay of light and contrast, where a radiant golden sphere dominates the composition. This central element resembles a sun, its luminous impact intensified by the surrounding soft white gradient that occupies the entire upper half of the piece. This gradient seamlessly transitions into deeper, darker tones below, evoking the sense of a horizon at twilight. The golden sphere serves as a powerful focal point, its rich hue starkly juxtaposed against the subdued monochrome. Subtle variations in texture around the sphere suggest movement and dynamic energy, adding depth to the otherwise minimalist approach. A notable feature is the reflection of the golden orb beneath it, merging into the dark expanse. This reflection is a delicate blend of golds and blacks, further emphasizing the opposition yet harmony of elements within the painting. The artwork's minimalist color palette and abstract representation evoke a sense of tranquility and mystery, inviting viewers to ponder the boundary between light and shadow, day and night. The artist masterfully uses minimal elements to convey a profound narrative, creating a piece that is both visually striking and thought-provoking.
Presentation
Tiny's paintings depict defining moments in her life, a central theme she has termed, 'Patterns of Life'. The patterns of life tell a story of the different processes and experiences that are so fundamental to human beings. Her inspiration comes from nature, her immediate surroundings and the stories she hears or reads. Her work is abstract figurative, and uses cheerful colours to express her creativity and enthusiasm.
She often works with an art scraper, which she uses to scrape sand and paint onto her canvases. Tiny's work is described as uplifting, colourful and dynamic by her collectors She wants her paintings to create a moment where the thinking process stops and the intuition takes over.
