Description
This artwork presents two distinct yet intertwined forms that capture the essence of unity and duality through abstract human figures. The composition features two sitting forms, notably simplified and devoid of facial features or intricate details, where their mutual embrace speaks to a deeper connection between the entities. Distinctive in the use of color, one figure is rendered in vibrant blue, while the other is depicted in warm, golden hues. The blue figure, placed to the left, emanates a sense of calm and tranquility, while the golden figure exudes warmth and vibrancy. This juxtaposition of colors creates a dynamic visual tension, simultaneously evoking emotions of peace and energy. The figures appear to merge into one another, symbolizing a harmonious blend of their contrasting energies. The background further enhances the focus on the figures, achieved through a dark, textured treatment that provides a stark contrast to the luminous forms. This backdrop, devoid of distraction, ensures that the viewer's gaze is drawn exclusively to the interplay between the figures, urging an exploration of the theme of interconnectedness and mutual support. Overall, the precise use of color and form in this artwork makes a compelling statement on unity and contrast. The lack of detailed features directs the viewer's attention to the deeper emotional and symbolic elements, making this piece both inviting and thought-provoking. The simplicity and elegance of the shapes, combined with the profound use of color, make this work a striking visual narrative.
Presentation
His professional career as a painter begins in early 2022 when he retires from the business world after more than 50 years. The COVID-19 Contemplation made us realize how important it is to do what we like. This, along with the increase in free time, made Ernest Carneado Ferreri begin to express his deepest feelings through canvases and paintings. His first paintings focus on figures of women, animals, and the sea—three elements that have been his source of inspiration since he was little.
Ernest Carneado Ferreri begins painting self-taught, learning with each brushstroke. His first canvases show disorder, but, above all, great passion. For the artist, painting is a way of opening up to the world and expressing his emotions, his frustrations, and his desires. That is why, in just one year, he has made more than 200 paintings.
Ernest Carneado Ferreri was born in Barcelona on August 19, 1952. His professional career focused on manufacturing, design, and marketing of children's toys. During this period, she got married and had three wonderful children, got divorced, and now has two granddaughters. For years, he traveled around the world and visited several countries, acquiring a global awareness and vision that are reflected in his current paintings.
