A powerful juxtaposition of two worlds, this striking painting blends the realism of a woman's face with an abstract cityscape. The left side, filled with warm oranges, yellows, and cool blues, depicts an urban scene with buildings, sun, and moon motifs, evoking both day and night. In contrast, the right side reveals the intricately painted face of a woman, her intense blue eye captivating the viewer, while the textured brushstrokes melt into the background, creating an interplay between chaos and calm. This artwork invites reflection on the balance between the internal world of the self and the external world of the city, blending abstraction with portraiture in a stunning and emotive composition.
Presentation
Karine Harutyunyan was born on April 10, 1961 in Erevan, Armenia. In 1977-1981 she studied at the Department of Painting of the State College of Fine Arts after P. Terlemezyan. Marieta Martirosyan's works can be found in many places around the world-Barcelona, Boston, London, Moscow, Lebanon and Armenia . Some of his works are exhibited at the «West London Art Factory» gallery, London, UK.
