Maria Jose Subirachs

Subirachs Ferrer is, in addition to an extremely gifted painter and draftsman, an illustrator who denotes, in each of his works, a vocation that connects intelligently with the classical and factual tradition of pictorial work articulated to the literary, philosophical or simply descriptive. The artist knows how to combine an informed aesthetic conception, the contents inherent to his creative thought and a deep sensitivity to the different thematic sets that the world offers him. In addition to rich, diverse and complementary aspects, there is in the work of Subirachs Ferrer a great power of evocation that reaches us from a time both distant and current; From a literary and emotional distance dense with richness and full of suggestions.
