Description
This vibrant work is a whirlwind of dynamic colors that blend bright greens, intense reds, and warm yellows in harmony. The brushstrokes of paint, applied in rapid, spontaneous strokes, create a ceaseless movement, seeming to capture the energy of nature in awakening. The composition is fragmented, where abstract shapes evoke landscapes, merging them into an inventive mosaic. The touches of white seem to dance between the other hues, providing visual breathing points. This skillful contrast between chaos and order gives the work a thrilling tension. It is a bold composition that encourages exploration, evoking both the vitality and the complex beauty of the natural world.
Presentation
When, in March 2020, we were told we couldn't go out any more, FLOV' felt a compelling need to create a world of colour, to paint, to escape.
So she decided: 'I'm going to paint pictures that feel good'.
In her search for freedom, she came across a quotation from Matisse that she took as a personal message: 'Colour above all, and even more than drawing, is a liberation'.
Inspired by nature, she uses acrylic paint, which she works with a brush, a knife or any other object that helps her to express her emotions on canvas. She can add graphite, ink or chalk to suggest relief.
She lets herself be carried away by the gesture, creating intuitively, letting herself be guided by the colours and contrasts. You could say that she lets go, so she follows her emotions and lets the colours express themselves.
