Description
Immerse yourself in the captivating world of with this street art creation, crafted using mixed collage techniques. Inspired by the iconic poster of Christopher Nolan's film , this piece features a solitary astronaut in black and white, seemingly emerging from the depths of a torn and layered world.
Surrounding this central image are fragments of colorful posters, urban typography, and graffiti in vivid tones—red, blue, green, and black—creating a striking contrast effect. The carefully juxtaposed torn layers evoke a cinematic yet raw atmosphere, true to the essence of street art.
The tags and textures add an authentic and dynamic dimension, while the artwork as a whole plays with the concepts of time and space, echoing the themes of the film that inspired it.
Perfect for fans of science fiction, cult cinema, and urban art, this unique collage will bring a modern and bold touch to your interior, celebrating both pop culture and contemporary artistic expression.
Presentation
Guillaume Picart, known as Lasveguix, is a French artist from Seine-Saint-Denis, who began his artistic career as a graffiti artist under the pseudonym of Guix along the Canal de l'Ourcq, when he was teenager. After a break in artistic creation, he returned to his passion in 2022 and is currently working on the production of numerous works in various media, mainly inspired by the influence of pop art.
Lasveguix is directly inspired by Jacques Villeglé and Raymond Hains, and uses photographs of famous faces as well as torn posters to create his paintings. He then covers these supports with graffiti and splashes of paint, which gives life to colorful and powerful works, reminiscent of sections of urban walls torn from the street.
His artistic signature is based on his ability to give relief and volume to his paintings. He cultivates a real taste for the texture and material of torn paper, thus creating an impression of movement, by superimposing successive layers of paper.
