Biography
Ezequiel MartÃnez Llaser is an artist with an extensive international career. His works are included in various private collections across Europe. Born in Argentina in 1981, he lives and works between Paris and Barcelona.
He studied art and philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires and Paris VIII, and has completed several workshops and artist residencies with prominent figures in today's contemporary art scene. Coming from a family of photographers, he grew increasingly drawn to the visual arts as a medium to express his philosophical inquiries.
His work—primarily large-scale surrealist oil paintings—is a deconstruction of reality and the dominant values of modern society. His latest series, “Fragmentation et Totalité," questions Western rationalism through vitalist philosophical concepts (Nietzsche and Bergson), drawing influence from painters such as Dalà and Goya.
He has held major exhibitions in Buenos Aires, Rome, Barcelona, Madrid, and Paris. In 2019, he participated in the Florence Biennale. Since 2022, his work has been on display at the Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona, and in recent years, his pieces have been selected for exhibitions throughout Europe.
