Description
Unique ink creation inviting introspection and giving everyone free rein to project their own feelings...
This captivating artwork presents an enigmatic and expressive portrait, evoking deep introspection. The sculptural-looking face is bathed in delicate hues, creating a dreamy effect. The color palette, dominated by cool tones of blue and violet, lends a mystical atmosphere. The brushstrokes, both light and fluid, accentuate the ethereal aura of the figure. The facial features are drawn with subtle precision, contrasting with the abstract touches that surround the subject. This approach emphasizes the duality between the human form and the ambiguous nature of emotion. In the lower corner, a stylized signature adds a personal touch, attesting to the authenticity of the work. This painting, combining technical mastery and psychological depth, challenges the viewer and transports them into a world of silent contemplation.
Presentation
Born in 1958, French of Armenian origin, Sylvie PULUR grew up in Marseille. After studying accounting in Paris, she rediscovered her passion for drawing and painting six years ago, after raising four children. Since then, she has devoted herself entirely to her art. A self-taught artist, she uses various techniques such as charcoal, graphite, ink, watercolor, pastel, oil and acrylic for her creations on canvas and paper. Her work is distinguished by a subtle play of color contrasts and emotions, inviting meditation and reverie. Her works are unique and imaginary, marked by significant periods of her life.
Sylvie PULUR's works reflect key moments in her life. The series "Les Marines" evokes her arrival in France by boat, with about twenty oil and acrylic paintings influenced by Ivan Aivazovsky's seascapes. Passionate about the Roaring Twenties and Art Deco, [he/she] also produced numerous sketches representing women of various origins, inspired by black and white photographs and the works of Tamara de Lempicka and Edward Hopper.
