Description
This vibrant work captures a pair of lemurs in a striking natural setting. The canvas features a calming blue background that highlights the lemurs in the foreground. Their piercing red eyes add drama to the scene. The adult lemur's coat is depicted in subtle shades of gray, while the distinctively black and white ringed tail curves gracefully across the image. The juvenile lemur, deftly nestled in front of the adult, brings a touching dimension of parental protection and affection. The bold use of color and linework conveys a sense of movement and vitality. The green leaves surrounding the lemurs add depth and accentuate their natural habitat. This painting is a graphic celebration of the wild beauty and harmony of animal life.
Presentation
Actress Paola Lanzi devotes part of her time to painting.
"I favor acrylic paint which is the most flexible way in my eyes to obtain the spontaneity necessary for my work which I carry out with knives, spatulas, brushes and paintbrushes.
The shimmering and dynamic colors of Africa, where I lived, which push you to optimism, to the joy of living, to vitality, have influenced my work which is aimed at the desire to share these impressions of positive energies. Abstraction gives me complete freedom to express generous shapes and make colors vibrate without any particular theory, inspiration being my only guide. I seek out the richness of the material so that it leads me to unsuspected solutions where gesture and thought come together."
For her new series Paola Lanzi has oriented her choice towards the figurative, but her series of monkeys is always with the aim of giving an image of the joy of living
