Description
This intriguing work is titled “Fragile" and is distinguished by its realistic depiction of crumpled packaging material. The subtle use of paint creates a striking illusion of texture and volume. The red adhesive strips inscribed “Fragile" emphasize the idea of vulnerability and protection, while the Musée d'Orsay label adds a cultural dimension, evoking the preciousness of the often priceless contents of the art world. The clever play of light and shadow reinforces the three-dimensionality, inviting the viewer to reconsider the boundary between the object and its representation. This work explores the theme of the passage between the everyday and the sacred, while encouraging reflection on how we perceive and value the objects around us. Its innovative approach and meticulous execution make it a striking example of contemporary trompe-l'oeil.
Presentation
After a first artistic life in the world of Advertising with the costume of hyperrealist Painter Illustrator specializing in airbrushing, Patrick abandoned this restrictive environment and explored his more creative side while using his unique technique and know-how in the practice of the airbrush. Listening to new trends, he tasted the customization of luxury bags and sneakers, he created with his unique and recognizable label several hundred works under the pseudonym “PatBo". Recently he has expanded his range of creative media by taming the basketball where he creates new unique works by immortalizing the icons of Pop culture, cinema and sports legends.
