Description
This exuberant artwork features a green, curvy character with large, expressive eyes and a gaping mouth. The creature appears to emerge from vibrant blue water, contrasting with a scribbled pink background, evoking a whimsical sky. Orange elements in the shape of wings or fins accentuate its silhouette, creating an intriguing visual dynamism. To the right, another character in warm colors, seemingly in dialogue with the first, holds an enigmatic accessory. The bold use of bright colors and gestural lines gives the whole a playful and surreal energy. The abstract shapes and the interaction between the characters arouse curiosity and free interpretation, transporting the viewer into a dreamlike universe where the rules of realism are joyfully shaken up.
Presentation
Born October 22, 1946 in Santiago, Chile, this pigeon has lived for twenty years in the south of France. Party of Santiago following the military coup of 1973, he first lived in several Latin countries US before coming to nest on the Provençal lands. As a graphic designer, he worked in the Argentine, Mexican and Chilean media who fought for freedom of expression and the end of dictatorships; today as an artist, he kept the footprints of its origins and paints, sculpts and makes installations with materials picked up here and there.
Through a free illustration, color, material and profusion, he deposits on various substrates (wood, canvas, cardboard, plexiglass, varied recycling equipment ) images that he caught on the fly, during his travel and contact with disabilities and other artists. Gleaner inveterate, it also fills with humor and poetry devious objects or blank media while pointing his brushes and pencils on the contradictions of our globalized world.
