Description
This wall sculpture unfolds like a narrative and teeming fresco. The artist constructs their graphic story around the place occupied by communication devices (TV, PC, ...) in our daily lives.
The line, free and spontaneous, recalls the codes of raw art and street art. Bright colors intertwine to emphasize the chaotic aspect of the scene. One can distinguish characters, television screens (paws) and ornamental motifs.
The work questions us about the contradictions of our globalized world with a poetic and humorous approach. The reclaimed support brings a different texture, enriching the visual reading. The relief work in acrylic comes to link these disparate elements into a coherent whole.
The whole forms a visual chain where humor coexists with social critique. The panoramic format accentuates the procession effect of the colorful figures.
Presentation
Born October 22, 1946 in Santiago, Chile, this pigeon has lived for twenty years in the south of France. Party of Santiago following the military coup of 1973, he first lived in several Latin countries US before coming to nest on the Provençal lands. As a graphic designer, he worked in the Argentine, Mexican and Chilean media who fought for freedom of expression and the end of dictatorships; today as an artist, he kept the footprints of its origins and paints, sculpts and makes installations with materials picked up here and there.
Through a free illustration, color, material and profusion, he deposits on various substrates (wood, canvas, cardboard, plexiglass, varied recycling equipment ) images that he caught on the fly, during his travel and contact with disabilities and other artists. Gleaner inveterate, it also fills with humor and poetry devious objects or blank media while pointing his brushes and pencils on the contradictions of our globalized world.
