The painting "Autumn by the River" is a vibrant celebration of the fall season, masterfully depicted in thick, expressive brushstrokes. The artwork captures a serene riverside scene, where golden and crimson trees stand proudly along the riverbank, their leaves glowing in the sunlight. The sky is a bright and clear blue, providing a striking contrast to the warm tones of the autumn foliage. The river in the background reflects the sky's hue, adding depth and tranquility to the scene. The foreground of the painting showcases a lush green meadow with patches of orange and brown, indicating the gradual change of seasons. The grass remains vibrant, but it's evident that autumn is taking over, bringing with it a sense of transformation and quiet reflection. The artist's use of bold colors and dynamic texture conveys the richness and beauty of nature in its transitional phase.A solitary figure can be seen standing by the river, seemingly lost in thought. This figure adds a human element to the landscape, inviting viewers to imagine themselves in that peaceful setting, contemplating the passing of time. The placement of the figure emphasizes the vastness of nature and evokes a sense of solitude and connection to the natural world. The artist aims to capture the fleeting beauty of autumn — a season that symbolizes both change and impermanence. The painting invites viewers to appreciate the vibrant colors of life, even as they slowly fade away. The contrast between the lively green grass and the fiery tones of the trees suggests the coexistence of life and decay, a reminder of the cyclical nature of time.Through "Autumn by the River," the artist encourages viewers to pause and reflect on the beauty of the present moment. The painting speaks of tranquility, transformation, and the quiet introspection that autumn often brings. It captures the essence of a peaceful, fleeting moment in nature — one that invites serenity and reflection.

Works by Boris Serdyuk are held in museums in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, as well as in private collections in Ukraine, European countries, the USA, Israel, and other countries.
In 2018, the artist entered the global art space of the creative platform in New York, where seven of his works were included in the catalog "Painting & Graphics."
Currently lives and works in Kremenchuk, Poltava Region.
Took his first steps in the world of visual arts within the walls of his local school, then studied at Yuriev-Polsky Pedagogical School. After graduation, he returned to his homeland and started working as a drawing and painting teacher.
Later, he realized that for an artist, creative freedom is essential. Thus, after seventeen years of teaching, he left the profession to focus on his creative work. The artist is content to have the opportunity to engage in his beloved craft, which he considers the meaning of his life.
His journey had its ups and downs, victories in competitions, and recognition from admirers, yet he never ceased his determined quest for his artistic path. In ancient times, "serdyuk" referred to professional infantrymen in the Cossack ranks. This heritage likely passed down not only the surname but also many Cossack traits to the artist, including hard work, modesty, and human dignity.
Boris Serdyuk creates in genres such as portrait, landscape, and thematic composition. His works are varied, reflecting the artist's impressions of the places he visited. Among them are picturesque corners of Kremenchuk and Dnipro views, urban and maritime landscapes, the grandeur of the Carpathian Mountains, and cozy Ukrainian villages. His canvases are intriguing in terms of color and relatively compositionally perfect, revealing the life of nature at the time of their execution.
There are also commissioned portraits and paintings, such as "Shevchenko in Baturyn." He spent over a year working on it, studying the architecture of the former hetman capital. However, the artist prefers to work swiftly, capturing the vision of a painting before it fades from his mind and before the sun changes its angle and shadows. On average, according to the artist, he spends about 40 minutes on a single landscape.
Boris successfully combines a poetic perception of the world and a deep understanding of nature with brilliant artistic execution. His paintings exude a special light and a delicate sense of nature – vivid colors on the canvas resonate with intermediate tones. The artist has abandoned contours, replacing them with separate and contrasting brushstrokes; his paintings amaze with colors, not only their diversity but also the amount of substance applied to the canvas – vibrant, vivid, voluminous.
Describing the master's works is a challenging task. Boris Serdyuk's works are special – they are painted with soul. One must see and feel the wonderful harmony of nature on the artist's canvases firsthand and touch the great mystery of Art.
