Description
This artwork presents a striking composition of overlapping geometric shapes that create a dynamic visual rhythm. Dominated by elliptical and angular forms, the piece showcases a sophisticated interplay of dark and light tones. Bold black elements contrast sharply with white and muted beige segments, fostering a sense of depth and motion. The translucent layers add complexity, allowing glimpses of textured surfaces beneath, while subtle hints of yellow and orange provide unexpected warmth amidst the monochrome palette. This balance between precision and fluidity is captivating, drawing the viewer into its harmonious yet intricate design. The artwork's abstract nature invites interpretation, making it an engaging and thought-provoking visual experience.
Presentation
Ortiz holds an MFA in Visual Art from the Faculty of Arts and Design at The National Autonomous University of Mexico. Ortiz's youth was marked by profound self-criticism and perfectionist tendencies; being an introvert granted him a drive to profoundly explore the technical aspect of his medium, which led to a unique appreciation for contemporary aesthetic renderings.
