Description
Klish 7
"Yellow Dawn" by Andriy Klishyn is a vivid and symbolic landscape that captures the beauty and power of the early morning light. The composition is divided into two contrasting sections: a deep, rich blue foreground representing the land and a luminous, golden sky evoking the rising sun. The painting's textured brushstrokes enhance the raw energy of nature, making the sky seem almost fluid as it blends into the horizon.Through this work, Klishyn expresses a sense of renewal, hope, and transition. The contrast between the dark blue earth and the radiant yellow sky suggests the movement from night into day, symbolizing new beginnings, resilience, and the promise of the future. The abstract yet structured approach conveys an emotional depth, where the colors themselves become the narrative. The use of yellow and blue, reminiscent of the Ukrainian national colors, may also carry a deeper patriotic or cultural meaning. It can be seen as a tribute to the strength and endurance of the Ukrainian spirit, reflecting both the challenges and the unbreakable will to rise again.

The artist about himself:
“As a professional artist, I started my career late, at 61 years old. But it is possible that this was what should have happened. Everything has its time. Rich life experiences have become the source of my creativity. My art is ambiguous and unlike any other, probably because “I paint with my heart." Sometimes I use an intuitive drawing, namely: not from life or from a photograph, but only what suits the subconscious, soul, heart.
Most importantly and completely unexpectedly for me, after a series of works I began to understand where my images come from... I think that I or my essence saw them in our past or future life.
Despite my little experience, I already have more than two hundred paintings, about forty of them have found “their home" in private collections and museums."
The paintings are in the Lutsk Art Museum, in the Korsakov Family Museum of Contemporary Art.
