Dinner with bestie, Romanticization series, 2025

Olha Vlasova

Sometimes, true luxury isn't about grand celebrations but about moments of beauty and elegance. In Ukraine, where the artist lives, big festivities don't feel right at the moment, but she and her friends have found a way to add a little celebration to everyday life. They gather at home—quietly, without fuss, but in their finest dresses, enjoying the simple pleasure of feeling beautiful.

This painting is about that moment—graceful gestures, a love for beauty, and elegance that doesn't need an audience. It's a reminder to find something special in the ordinary and to create beauty around us, no matter what.

ROMANTICIZATION SERIES

The "Romanticization" series is an artistic call to rediscover harmony and love in your own life by shifting your focus. Sometimes circumstances unfold beyond our control, leaving us powerless to change their course. Yet life is unique and unrepeatable, and every moment deserves to be filled with meaning and joy.

Romanticizing the everyday is a practice that helps cultivate inner peace, notice small pleasures, and appreciate the uniqueness of each moment. It brings a new sparkle to our daily lives, adorns them with warmth and tenderness, and invites us to embrace the present with love and gratitude.
