Description
This captivating work presents a bold blend of collage and painting. The central face, rendered in black and white, immediately draws the eye, contrasting with a vibrant background of colorful patterns. The artist uses newspaper clippings and typographic elements to create a rich texture, adding an intriguing narrative dimension. Bold red flowers punctuate the composition, breaking the monochrome and perhaps symbolizing femininity or passion. The words "I SHOP THEREFORE I AM" are subtly integrated, suggesting a critique of contemporary consumer society. This dynamic visual assemblage conveys a powerful message about identity and commodification, while also celebrating the aesthetics of street art. The mix of media and the juxtaposition of textual and visual elements demonstrate the artist's technical mastery and conceptual depth.
Presentation
Originally from Normandy, Nathalie Moulinet now lives in Miami.
Overflowing with creativity, she perfected her technique thanks to the course she took at the School of Fine Arts in Paris, but also by evolving alongside her mentor, the painter Jacques Deshaies, a visionary artist whose palette echoes nature.
Nathalie Moulinet's talent transcends disciplines, encompassing a diverse range of mediums and techniques: drawing, watercolor, acrylic, oil, and even sculpture. Her curiosity drives her to constantly explore new avenues of artistic expression.
Through her art, she manages to channel her emotions, harmoniously blending strength and delicacy. In her works, she recounts the emancipation of contemporary women, daring to challenge societal norms that, in her view, seek to subjugate and stigmatize them.
