Description
This artwork is a mesmerizing depiction of an abstract landscape, capturing the drama and intensity of a stormy sky over a reflective water body. The upper portion of the canvas is dominated by swirling dark clouds, skillfully conveying movement and foreboding. Subtle hues of gray and blue create a sense of depth and turbulence. Below, the horizon blends seamlessly into the body of water, mirroring the chaotic sky. The water is rendered with delicate brushstrokes and textured layers, evoking ripples and reflections. Rich tones of yellow and green at the bottom suggest the presence of land or vegetation, offering a stark contrast to the muted palette above. This interplay of light and shadow, along with the dynamic composition, establishes a tension and allure that draws the viewer into the scene, making it a standout piece in contemporary landscape painting.
Presentation
Enric Correa is a self-taught artist whose work explores the relationship between color, matter, and emotional territory. His artistic language lies between atmospheric abstraction and a poetics of layers, where texture and light construct landscapes that evoke memory, geology, and transformation. Through constant research, he combines acrylics, enamels, sprays, and textural materials to create deep and vibrant surfaces that reinterpret Nature from an intimate and sensory perspective.
In recent years, he has expanded his practice to include expressive figuration—especially birds—which extends his abstract universe into new forms of energy and presence. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Barcelona, as well as national art fairs and competitions, and his work has been recognized by the Esart Gallery (Barcelona), the Accademia Internazionale Greci-Marino (Italy), and various international platforms. He has also been featured in specialized publications such as Revistart.
