Description
This striking artwork features a majestic lion advancing with power. The meticulous detailing of its mane reveals delicate brushstrokes, with a natural color palette contrasting beautifully with the vibrant background. The dynamic background, composed of vibrant shades of pink and purple, enhances the lion's imposing presence. Paint splatters add a contemporary dimension, symbolizing both speed and energy. The animal's piercing, deep yellow eyes captivate the viewer, evoking a sense of brute strength and royalty. The lion's bold, marching stance emphasizes its role as king of the savannah. This composition skillfully blends realism and abstraction, creating a work that is both modern and timeless. A work that symbolizes a period of rebirth, resilience, and fighting spirit for the artist.
Presentation
Amélie Béral is a young artist from Montpellier. A self-taught artist, she specializes in animal painting, a genre she has been particularly fond of since childhood, when she already aspired to bring her creations to life. The animal cause plays an important role in her work.
Amélie Béral tends to illustrate both the fragility and the strength of these subjects, giving particular importance to emotions and the truth of expression, because in her opinion: the gaze never lies.
In 2019, she took part in her 1st group exhibition in Sommière. Today, she regularly exhibits at art fairs and events across France - Nîmes, Lyon, Paris and in her native region between Montpellier and Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer.
