Description
Kotmin 6
In "Curious Guest" by Artim Olga, the artist creates a captivating still life scene where nature meets culture in a harmonious arrangement. The composition features a beautifully detailed pheasant, its vibrant feathers contrasting with the warm, rich tones of the objects surrounding it—a lute, ornate vases, and a bountiful display of grapes and pears. The bird, curiously inspecting its surroundings, adds a sense of life and movement to the otherwise tranquil still life. The vibrant use of color, from the warm autumnal leaves to the cool blues in the background, gives the painting a dynamic energy, drawing the viewer into the intricate details. The careful interplay of light and shadow further enhances the atmosphere, creating a balance between the natural and man-made elements.Through this work, Olga Artim seems to explore the beauty of life's finer moments, expressing a peaceful coexistence between nature, art, and everyday objects. The pheasant, as a “curious guest," symbolizes a bridge between the wild and domestic, evoking curiosity and a sense of wonder about the world around us.

Studied: She studied at a children's music school, and then transferred to a children's art school. After graduating from school, she entered the Odessa State Art School named after M. Grekov (painting), which she graduated in 1985 with honors. She studied at the Lviv Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute named after I. Fedorov (graphics), which she graduated in 1993. Not stopping there, she studied in the workshop of the People's Artist of Ukraine M. O. Ryasnyansky. She began her creative activity in 1993. She works in oil painting.

Works as an artist of the Nikolaev art-production plant (since 1985). Main works: triptych "Spring Dreams" (1993); “Pink Dream", “Three Graces" (both - 1994); “Poppies of Chernobyl" (1995); “Olbia", “Forest Gifts", “Leda" (all - 1997); “Sweet-voiced sirens", “The Legend of Phaeton" (both - 1998); “Red viburnum", “Mountain ash by the window", “Amsterdam tulips" (all - 1999).
The artist has more than 40 exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad, including 10 personal ones. Her works are in private collections in Japan, the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Russia and Ukraine.
Perceiving the world around her with love, everything that surrounds her, she recreates it with reverent tenderness in her paintings. Different in form and color scheme, they amaze with the author's ability to see beauty in all manifestations of life, to notice the beautiful in a child's smile, the gray head of a veteran. In still lifes, various manifestations of flowers are felt - brightness, variety of colors, sophisticated aroma.
The portrait genre occupies a large place in the author's work. All portrait and still life paintings are painted from nature. The characters, their costumes, and entourage are the author's ideas; he always creates clothes for the "models" with his own hands.
