Description
Kotmin 64
In her painting "Luxurious Peonies," Ukrainian artist Olga Artim captures the vibrant beauty and elegance of blooming peonies. The composition features a lush bouquet of white and pink peonies arranged in a graceful blue vase, their delicate petals seemingly reaching out in various directions. The bright, refreshing blue background enhances the softness of the flowers, creating a serene and uplifting mood. Artim's intent appears to be a celebration of nature's splendor, emphasizing the opulence and abundance of life through these peonies, which symbolize wealth, honor, and romance. The luxurious quality of the blooms suggests a sense of grandeur, while the light and airy brushstrokes reflect the fragility and fleeting nature of beauty. This work brings forward an appreciation of the intricate details found in nature and invites the viewer to pause and savor its grace.
Presentation
Born on July 23, 1965, in the city of Nikolaev.
Studied: She studied at a children's music school, and then transferred to a children's art school. After graduating from school, she entered the Odessa State Art School named after M. Grekov (painting), which she graduated in 1985 with honors. She studied at the Lviv Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute named after I. Fedorov (graphics), which she graduated in 1993. Not stopping there, she studied in the workshop of the People's Artist of Ukraine M. O. Ryasnyansky. She began her creative activity in 1993. She works in oil painting.
Member of the youth association at the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1993).
Works as an artist of the Nikolaev art-production plant (since 1985). Main works: triptych "Spring Dreams" (1993); “Pink Dream", “Three Graces" (both - 1994); “Poppies of Chernobyl" (1995); “Olbia", “Forest Gifts", “Leda" (all - 1997); “Sweet-voiced sirens", “The Legend of Phaeton" (both - 1998); “Red viburnum", “Mountain ash by the window", “Amsterdam tulips" (all - 1999).
The artist has more than 40 exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad, including 10 personal ones. Her works are in private collections in Japan, the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Russia and Ukraine.
Perceiving the world around her with love, everything that surrounds her, she recreates it with reverent tenderness in her paintings. Different in form and color scheme, they amaze with the author's ability to see beauty in all manifestations of life, to notice the beautiful in a child's smile, the gray head of a veteran. In still lifes, various manifestations of flowers are felt - brightness, variety of colors, sophisticated aroma.
The portrait genre occupies a large place in the author's work. All portrait and still life paintings are painted from nature. The characters, their costumes, and entourage are the author's ideas; he always creates clothes for the "models" with his own hands.
