Description
Svash 20
"In Romny" by Egor Shvachunov is a delicate pencil drawing that captures the quiet charm of the historic Ukrainian town of Romny. With gentle shading and confident linework, the artist presents a peaceful scene featuring a grand Orthodox church with its iconic domes, flanked by trees and modest buildings. In the foreground, a figure and a grazing animal add a sense of scale and rural life, grounding the spiritual architecture in everyday simplicity. Through this minimalist yet evocative composition, Shvachunov expresses a deep appreciation for Ukrainian heritage — both sacred and humble. The drawing speaks of stillness, reverence, and the enduring presence of culture nestled within the landscape. It's a moment of reflection, where time seems to pause in the gentle harmony of place and memory.
