Description
The work “Tracking" suggests a map that pays homage to the cosmology of the sacred snake, with pictorial interventions evoking the Malayalam language, made in Kerala-India by Italian-Australian artist Virginia Ryan.
This artwork is a dynamic explosion of abstract expressionism. Dominated by a vibrant yellow background, the canvas is crisscrossed with a complex network of black lines and dots, creating a rhythmic dance across the surface. Within this intricate matrix are delicate red and white accents, which add depth and movement to the composition. The fluidity of the lines suggests both chaos and harmony, drawing the viewer into a hypnotic labyrinth of colors and shapes. The work's energy is palpable and captures a sense of spontaneity and freedom. Its unique and nonlinear narrative invites endless interpretations, making it a thought-provoking visual experience. The interplay of colors, lines and spaces exemplifies deliberate contrast, showing a mastery of balance and movement. This work challenges perception and is a testament to the power of abstract art to evoke emotion and provoke reflection.
