Artist's thoughts - (based on Natalia Goncharova), Circa 2010

Viktor Konotopsky

1694

"Artist's Thoughts" by the renowned Ukrainian painter Viktor Konotopsky, created in the spirit of Natalia Goncharova, is a vibrant, cubo-futurist composition that blurs the boundaries between creativity, technology, and inner impulse. Through a kaleidoscope of sharp angles, curved lines, and energetic color blocks, Konotopsky visually maps the chaotic but purposeful stream of consciousness of an artist at work. In this piece, mechanical forms blend with painterly tools — gears, bolts, tubes, brushes, and sketch fragments swirl together in a poetic whirlwind. The central motif, a dynamic collision of objects and abstractions, reflects the fusion of craft and concept, echoing Goncharova's love for both the modern and the primitive, the industrial and the sacred. Konotopsky's work here is not a literal self-portrait, but a metaphorical representation of the creative process itself — bold, noisy, layered, and full of invention. It expresses the idea that in every artist's mind, the spiritual and the mechanical coexist, creating not only pictures, but energy, movement, and new realities.
