Lotus (Sanskrit: Padma) is one of the most ancient and sacred symbols. It embodies the primordial cosmic force of creation, untainted purity, and spiritual perfection.
Born in the depths beneath layers of water, the lotus rises through the mud to bloom on the surface. Similarly, a person, through the trials of worldly life, undergoes purification and attains spiritual wisdom.
Padma is a symbol of beauty, abundance, and fertility, a principal attribute of many deities.
Within the heart of every person seeking wholeness, a lotus lies hidden. And when the soul reaches enlightenment, Padma blooms.
Presentation
Ukrainian artist working under the pseudonym AreiRa. Born in 1988 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Graduated from the Kharkiv Academic Art Lyceum and studied Interior Design at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. Since 2023, she has been actively engaged in painting, working primarily with acrylic and watercolor.
Her artistic practice combines figurative and mythological imagery, exploring themes of inner transformation, spiritual resilience, and the search for harmony. She draws inspiration from sacred symbolism, architectural heritage, and the cultural codes of ancient civilizations, creating compositions rich in subtle metaphors and emotional depth.
For AreiRa, painting is a form of meditative practice, where the material and the symbolic intertwine to open new inner dimensions. Her works have been exhibited in Ukraine and abroad. The artist's practice evolves through a dialogue with philosophy and the visual language of global cultural heritage.
Her works are aesthetic and spiritual focal points that harmonize space and open an inner silence.
