Description
This captivating work harmoniously juxtaposes nature and abstraction. The four distinct areas complement each other with their varied hues and textures. In the upper left section, black foliage rises majestically against a gray background, suggesting a mysterious and serene landscape. In contrast, the lower right section bursts with vivid shades of blue, evoking calm and comforting water. Shades of gray and green in the other sections provide a subtle balance, creating a fascinating visual dynamic. Contrasting light and shadow add depth and intrigue. The bold use of mixed media and varied textures reflects the complexity and beauty of the natural world, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. A masterpiece that invites contemplation and escape.
Presentation
Antoinette is a textile designer artist born in 1956 in Paris. She devotes a real passion to drawing from an early age, she decides to take lessons and makes live model sketches and discovers painting.
In 1977 she graduated from the School of Applied Arts.
She multiplies the exhibitions, and meets Paul Harguittai, painter of international renown, Prix de Rome in 1956.
It was in 1980 that the partnership with Harguittai materialized and proliferated for 20 years, in a prestigious Parisian address, rue de la Paix.
His work then became known worldwide, in particular thanks to his collaborations with haute couture workshops such as Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Lacroix, Balenciaga, Nina Ricci and others ...
In 2001 She decides to create her own workshop in association with Freddy, the textile studio "Antoinette et Freddy" was born.
It is in 2019 that she decides to devote herself entirely to painting, follower of large format often presented as Japanese paintings, her desire to paint goes through the abstract as well as the figurative, black and white or the colour. Her complete and heterogeneous style is appealing, she likes to define herself as the days that follow but is not alike.
