Description
In "Solitude", Papayon captures the strength that grows in stillness.
A lone tree stands rooted beneath a wide sky, holding its place as a flock of birds passes overhead. The cyanotype technique, layered with delicate gestures, evokes both calm and movement — a visual meditation on what stays and what flies away.
This piece is an invitation to pause. To breathe. To find power in your own stillness.
Presentation
Papayon (Roberto Fernando Salmon) is a Latin American contemporary artist whose work challenges comfort and embraces contradiction. His mixed media pieces — often combining encaustic, oil, cyanotype, and reclaimed materials — explore themes of resilience, trauma, and spiritual rebellion. Driven by symbolism and emotional rawness, Papayon believes art's power lies in its ability to unsettle, ignite, and reflect what we often ignore. His studio is based in Houston, TX, with cross-border visibility in the U.S. and Mexico.
