Description
This dynamic work features a bold geometric composition, dominated by angular shapes and powerful diagonal lines. Bold colors such as red, yellow, blue, and purple lend a vibrant energy to the whole. On the left, two red columns contrast with triangular and rectangular panels of various hues, creating a captivating visual balance. A black and white checkerboard pattern on the right draws the eye, adding a playful dimension. In the center, an arch evokes a doorway leading into the unknown, reinforced by dynamic white lines that suggest the perspective of a road receding into the distance. The presence of traffic lights reminds us of the existence of rules to coordinate the workings of society. This work celebrates symmetry and asymmetry through a masterful juxtaposition of shapes and colors, offering a visual experience that is both chaotic and harmonious.
Presentation
Alain Arnouil, painter, France
After having worked with various teachers of classical paintings, taking my artistic independence I evolve more and more towards a more simplified writing going straight to the point. I call my work FIGURATIVE ABSTRACTION.
It is mainly from music that I draw the spark for my future creations as well as from dance and live performances in general. For some time I have been working on landscapes and face profile portraits dear to the cubist.
For dance and music, the splitting of the image creates rhythm and movement. Dynamic colors interpret vibrations and melody.
In the transparencies after working the backgrounds elaborately with a knife, it is the light and the reflections that will determine the object, its shape and its volume.
For the landscapes, I exclude the details to keep only the essential, I idealize the colors by highlighting the dominant tonality, I use a writing inspired by cubism based on volumes and geometric surfaces.
Perpetually in search of novelty in my research, I try my hand at multiple techniques with different graphics by diversifying the subjects while keeping my own signature.
Currently the "street-art" directs my creation.
