Description
This artwork, a serene underwater tableau, masterfully captures the ethereal presence of a sea turtle gliding through a vast, textured expanse of blue. The muted, aquatic palette evokes the depths of the ocean, inviting viewers to delve into its tranquil ambiance. Subtle strokes and layers skillfully render the turtle's form, its shell featuring delicate patterns that suggest movement and life. The interplay of light and shadow enhances the sense of depth, while hints of red introduce a striking contrast. The artist's technique merges abstraction with realism, creating a captivating exploration of marine beauty. This piece stands out for its ability to convey both motion and stillness, inviting contemplation of the ocean's mysteries. Its unique combination of color and shape makes it a compelling depiction of natural grace and elegance.
Presentation
Enric Correa is a self-taught artist whose work explores the relationship between color, matter, and emotional territory. His artistic language lies between atmospheric abstraction and a poetics of layers, where texture and light construct landscapes that evoke memory, geology, and transformation. Through constant research, he combines acrylics, enamels, sprays, and textural materials to create deep and vibrant surfaces that reinterpret Nature from an intimate and sensory perspective.
In recent years, he has expanded his practice to include expressive figuration—especially birds—which extends his abstract universe into new forms of energy and presence. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Barcelona, as well as national art fairs and competitions, and his work has been recognized by the Esart Gallery (Barcelona), the Accademia Internazionale Greci-Marino (Italy), and various international platforms. He has also been featured in specialized publications such as Revistart.
