Description

Where Two Worlds Meet is a unique abstract painting created by Samia Kerkeni in 2022 using acrylic pouring and artistic pigments on canvas.

The composition explores the beauty that emerges when opposing forces encounter one another. Luminous turquoise, icy white and mineral grey flow toward intense passages of copper, rust, ochre and deep black. The two chromatic territories appear to collide, dissolve and ultimately become inseparable.

At the centre of the work, cool and warm pigments form an intricate transitional area filled with organic cells, delicate currents and mineral structures. This meeting point becomes the emotional heart of the painting: a space in which contrast creates transformation rather than division.

The composition may evoke water meeting earth, ice encountering volcanic matter, a coastline observed from above or two distant landscapes merging into one. Kerkeni deliberately avoids imposing a single interpretation, allowing each viewer to discover a personal landscape within the movement of the pigments.

The artwork was created through a controlled fluid-painting process. Working with the canvas positioned horizontally, Kerkeni guided acrylic colours and artistic pigments across the surface, allowing differences in density and flow to generate natural formations. The smallest cells, lines and transitions emerged through the direct interaction of the materials and can never be reproduced identically.

Turquoise, white and mineral grey suggest clarity, openness and renewal. Copper, rust and black evoke earth, fire, strength and geological memory. Their encounter creates a refined balance between serenity and intensity.

On the reverse, the artist has handwritten the message:

“Where two worlds meet, something beautiful begins."

This inscription completes the conceptual dimension of the work and expresses its central message of connection, balance and positive transformation.

Where Two Worlds Meet is an entirely handcrafted, unique and unreproducible original artwork. It is not a print, reproduction or edition.

The artwork is hand-signed “S. Kerkeni" on the front and signed, titled and documented on the reverse. It is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by Abstract Art Gallery and protected by the gallery's lifetime authenticity guarantee.

Provenance: Artist → Abstract Art Gallery, Riga.

The artwork is supplied without a decorative frame. Any framed or interior image is presented only as a visualisation and the frame is not included.

For the protection of its surface and fluid pigment structures, the artwork is never rolled and never shipped in a tube. It is professionally delivered exclusively flat, with its painted surface protected by non-abrasive material and secured between reinforced rigid XPS panels.

Worldwide tracked delivery via DHL Express, with dedicated assistance before, during and after delivery.

Presentation

Born in 1980, Samia Kerkeni develops an artistic approach in which matter becomes an emotional language in its own right. Her universe is defined by a deep investigation into textures, fluid movements and the interactions between light and colour.

A doctor and researcher in her field, she brings to her artistic practice a spirit of permanent exploration. This singular sensitivity allows her to create abstract works where every relief, every nuance and every contrast contributes to a fully immersive visual experience.

Inspired by natural forces — oceans, invisible currents and the metamorphoses of matter — Samia Kerkeni composes works in which energy flows freely across the surface. Deep blues, luminous turquoises, brilliant whites and mineral accents create compositions that are at once powerful, elegant and timeless.

Each creation is born from a slow and masterful process — layer by layer, gesture by gesture — where technique meets emotion and texture becomes a true artistic signature. Every work is an invitation to contemplation, offering each viewer the freedom to discover their own story within it.

Her works are part of the international selection of Abstract Art Gallery, a gallery specialising in contemporary art and high-end textural creations.

"Matter is never still. It holds the memory of the gesture, the light and the emotion that brought it into being."
— Samia Kerkeni
