Description
Please note: This diptych consists of two large 60 x 120 cm paintings. The paintings are stacked on top of each other in the box, spaced apart for compact packaging. The total weight of the package, including packaging, is approximately 8 to 10 kg.
Rainbow waves are made from hand-shaped and hand-painted cotton. Through intuitive folding, tension, and layering of colors, the textile surface is transformed into vibrant vertical waves. These pleated structures create a rhythmic, almost vibrant movement, intensified by the fluid gradation of colors.
The work on the left presents a smooth transition, moving from deep blue to vibrant green to turquoise. In contrast, the work on the right opens with warm tones: bright orange, flamboyant red, and intense purple. Together, the two panels appear like opposite poles of a rainbow. Their juxtaposition creates both tension and harmony.
The composition and color palette immediately evoke the reflections of light on water, like the shimmering light beneath an illuminated bridge at night. The interaction of colored light with the dark water creates a fluid, iridescent visual experience, reflected in the vertical textile structures. This abstraction becomes a stylized tribute to the interaction between light, architecture, and nature.
The waves of the rainbow can also be seen as a metaphor for the spectrum of human emotions. Each color resonates with its own emotional frequency: blue for calm and contemplation, green for hope and growth, red for passion, orange for vitality, and purple for depth and spirituality. The movement incorporated into the fabric translates these emotions not as fixed states, but as fluid and changing energies, like water reflecting light.
The wave-like structure evokes associations with breathing, heartbeat, or frequency—it visualizes something that connects us all: the inner current, the emotional rhythm, the essence of being human.
Rainbow waves form a bridge between nature and our inner landscape. The works unite the visible and the invisible: light refracted into color and emotion expressed through hue.
Presentation
Unique textile sculptures for the wall. Alla Grande's long artistic journey has repeatedly led her to textiles – a distinctive and unique form of expression. Structure, movement, and light merge into an individual visual language. Each piece radiates a subtle tension and unfolds a harmonious balance between clarity and emotion. She focuses on creating textile art for the wall that explores social and philosophical themes. Her work uniquely combines aesthetics, concept, and masterful craftsmanship. With her own visual language, in which she "paints with fabrics", she creates unique pieces that have garnered international acclaim – particularly in the context of architectural and interior design projects for luxury hotels and companies worldwide.
