Description
This artwork is a vivid portrayal that merges vibrancy with nostalgia, depicting a cherubic child clutching a bright pink bunny plush. The child's wide eyes, filled with wonder, are accentuated by a halo of colorful, swirling hair. The plush, with its oversized, endearing eyes and soft, exaggerated features, complements the whimsical theme. The background bursts with a tapestry of yellow flowers against a lush green field, infusing the scene with warmth and liveliness. The painter employs bold brushstrokes and a rich palette, crafting a sense of depth and joyous abandon. This piece uniquely blends childlike innocence with a playful surrealism, captivating viewers with its detailed textures and vivid hues. An artist's signature in the lower corner adds authenticity, marking a piece that resonates with both whimsy and artistic sophistication.
Presentation
Shin Seung-Hun is a South-Korean artist born in 1979 who lives & works in Jeju Island, Korea. He is considered by critics as the new Korean Takashi Murakami. The pure world of the artist depicts and dreams of a beautiful world from the perspective of a woman named Chunja of Jeju Island. The character Chun-ja' is the mother's name. We are having a great time together with Jeju Island as we dream of beautiful nature that represents the wild plants and the creatures. Based on the beautiful nature of Jeju and the story of a girl named 'Chunja', we expressed our work in a way that gives happiness and rest to us who have exhausted modern civilization and fierce selfishness.
