Description
This artwork presents a stark, monochromatic scene that evokes a profound sense of introspection. A central figure hangs suspended, commanding attention with its enigmatic posture. Surrounding this centerpiece are three figures in contemplative positions—one seated cross-legged, and another kneeling, both seemingly absorbed in thought. A standing figure at the forefront appears turned away, contributing to the somber mood. The linear, architectural backdrop frames the scene with sharp, angular lines, enhancing the sense of isolation. Rich, dark shadows contrast with lighter areas, drawing the viewer's eye along the central path where the faint text suggests a deeper narrative. The adept use of light and shadow enhances the emotional gravity, while the sparse composition compels one to ponder the subjects' inner lives. This evocative piece draws the observer into a world of contemplation and mystery, leaving an indelible impression.
Presentation
Keta Jikia is a Georgian artist born in 2002 who lives and works in Tbilisi, Georgia. She is graduated in 2025 with a degree in International Relations from Caucasus University. In 2020. In her debuts, she published a book as an author. Currently, she works in the fashion industry but her true passion resides in art. Her artistic works explore the connection between herself and her soul, throughout spiritual beliefs and her religious aspirations.
