Moris Lutin

Moris Lutin – Painting Inhabited Nature

Moris Lutin, as he is known, is a figurative painter whose work is entirely focused on nature... but not just any nature. The nature he paints is alive, enchanted, animated by a discreet, mischievous, and benevolent presence: a little elf. Present in each of his paintings, sometimes visible, sometimes hidden from the inattentive eye, this elf becomes the artist's secret signature, his poetic alter ego, his silent accomplice.

The choice of this name—Moris Lutin—is not insignificant: it reflects both the lightness of his gaze, the imagination that permeates his work, and the desire to make us smile, dream, or wonder. Each painting is an invitation to attentive contemplation, a visual and emotional treasure hunt where nature reveals its mysteries. Far from strict naturalism, Moris Lutin composes scenes where trees seem to whisper, where grasses dance, where stones and mosses become witnesses to an invisible yet palpable world.

Self-taught or trained, rigorous technician or instinctive dreamer—it doesn't matter in the end: what matters is the universe he patiently constructs, canvas after canvas, blending sensitive observation and fierce imagination. In an era marked by speed and disenchantment, Moris Lutin restores the narrative and symbolic power of figurative painting.

His works are aimed at all ages, as everyone can find in them a part of their childhood, a forgotten curiosity, or a more intimate relationship with nature. But they are also a discreet reminder: in every landscape, in every corner of the forest or garden, an elf watches over... provided you know how to see it.
