The oil painting on canvas titled "Signs of the Zodiac" is a rich, symbol-laden composition that brings together the twelve astrological signs in a celestial celebration of mythology, balance, and the eternal cycles of the cosmos. The artist presents the zodiac not merely as isolated symbols, but as a unified cosmic tapestry where human and animal forms, divine archetypes, and elemental energies swirl together in harmony. Executed in bold, saturated hues of blue, gold, and crimson, the painting evokes the feeling of being drawn into a mystical wheel of time and destiny. At the center of the composition, human figures are depicted in an almost sacred assembly, each representing specific zodiac signs through subtle attributes and classical iconography. Libra stands tall and calm, holding the perfectly balanced scales, a symbol of justice and equilibrium. Beside her, Aquarius pours water from a vessel, signifying the flow of knowledge, change, and humanitarian ideals. Sagittarius kneels with focused intent, his bow drawn in eternal readiness, symbolizing truth-seeking, aim, and philosophical exploration. To their sides, Leo—the majestic lion crowned with stars—rests regally, exuding strength, pride, and the warmth of fire energy. Nearby, Gemini is embodied by a pair of youthful figures, tender and intertwined, reflecting duality, communication, and connection. Capricorn and Taurus appear in their animal forms, steady and earthy, guardians of tradition, stability, and endurance. Aries, the ram, turns forward with bold energy, representing new beginnings, drive, and passion. Pisces is delicately rendered with a fish swimming above the head of one figure, floating amidst the stars—dreamy and intuitive, suggesting transcendence and spiritual depth. Cancer, the crab, emerges with claws extended, a protective, emotional force rooted in the cycles of the moon. Scorpio, sharp and mysterious, is held in the hand of a figure, signaling hidden power, transformation, and depth of feeling. Virgo is subtly woven into the scene through the gentle serenity and purity of the surrounding forms.
