Description
This captivating artwork combines modernity and tradition through a striking portrait. A woman with an intense gaze is depicted in black and white, creating a powerful contrast with the vibrant splashes of color adorning her turban. The dominant shades of pink, blue, and yellow lend a vibrant dynamic, elevating the whole to a bold artistic expression. The features of her traditional attire, accentuated by thick necklaces, add cultural depth. The subtly textured gray background highlights the central figure and the scattered graphic elements reminiscent of street art. The drips and graffiti enhance the contemporary feel of the painting, marrying classic technique with modern urban elements. This juxtaposition creates a bold work, evoking both the richness of cultural heritage and the energy of contemporary urban art.
Presentation
Seaty is an artist born in 1983 in the South of France. He was part of the Toulouse graffiti scene in the early 2000's where he started writing tags on walls when he was still a child.
Starting 2008, he decided to give a new direction to his graffiti works and started to paint on canvas, developping his technique, without ever taking drawing or painting classes. His work evolved but the codes of urban culture are still there. Seaty wants to share with the viewers his vision of urban art, his emotions and experiences.
Today, after a 15-year artistic career, having built his street art practice, Seaty continues to represent the movement with passion and creativity.
