Description
Seaty's 'Alyson' painting captures the essence of contemporary urban art. This piece is a portrait of young Alyson, done with photographic precision. The vibrant colors used for this painting are typical of Seaty's style, who is known for his ability to merge the techniques of photography and painting to create incredibly lively and dynamic works of urban art. Seaty's technique involves the use of stencils and sprays to create sharp, precise images, which are then complemented by a burst of bright, vibrant color. This technique allows him to bring his portraits to life in a striking way, giving them a unique texture and depth. "Alyson" is a feminine given name of English origin. It is often considered a variant of the given name Alison or Allison, which means "noble" or "of noble birth". The choice of this first name for Seaty's painting could be linked to its meaning which evokes a certain elegance. It is also possible that the choice of this first name was purely aesthetic in order to fit perfectly into Seaty's painting, which highlights the beauty and liveliness of his subjects through dazzling colors and a unique stencil technique.
Presentation
Seaty is an artist born in 1983 in the South of France. He was part of the Toulouse graffiti scene in the early 2000's where he started writing tags on walls when he was still a child.
Starting 2008, he decided to give a new direction to his graffiti works and started to paint on canvas, developping his technique, without ever taking drawing or painting classes. His work evolved but the codes of urban culture are still there. Seaty wants to share with the viewers his vision of urban art, his emotions and experiences.
Today, after a 15-year artistic career, having built his street art practice, Seaty continues to represent the movement with passion and creativity.
