Description
This artwork presents a visual assemblage of textures and colors, creating the impression of an abstract landscape. Layers of torn and superimposed paper reveal shades of black, white, and gray, along with subtle touches of green and orange, evoking both chaos and harmony. The surface appears stratified, each fragment adding a dimension of depth and complexity. The juxtaposition of materials and hues creates an intriguing visual dynamic, seemingly capturing the erosion of time. This bold choice of technique underscores the power of transformation, where each piece tells a silent yet eloquent story. The work invites careful exploration, gradually revealing hidden details and delicate textures, and offers a reflection on impermanence and fleeting beauty.
Collage by Alexandre TAILLANDIER: Rue Redon (contemporary art - collage) Mixed media and collages / Canvas. Artwork sold with invoice and certificate of authenticity.
Presentation
Alexandre Taillandier, French contemporary artist, defines himself as a deconstructor of timelessness. He is an attentive observer of the contemporary world, with its cultural and political shifts, contradictions, and violence. Taillandier absorbs these elements and transcribes them in his explosive compositions that force us to reconsider the fragility of our existence. His work recounts the histories and fragments of life that he then reconstitutes through newspaper scraps.
