Description
Blue imposes itself here as a dominant force. It extends over the paper in irregular washes. Black responds with dense splatters. This radical contrast creates a nocturnal depth. The material expresses itself through spontaneous projections. The gesture is free. It fragments the space.
Acrylic intertwines with mixed media techniques. The rendering evokes a changing sky. The areas of shadow and light engage in a silent battle. This abstract composition plays on the tension between void and fullness. The density of the pigment accentuates the visual relief.
The balance rests on the opposition of tones. The sky blue fades before the darkness. The fluidity of the medium hints at an organic movement. The eye circulates between the spots and the streaks of paint. The whole exudes a serene and mysterious atmosphere.
This piece dates from 2013. It rests on a paper support. The artist's signature appears in the bottom right. It accompanies the date of execution.
