Description
This artwork, a mesmerizing abstract painting, captures the essence of a serene Spanish landscape. The upper section is dominated by warm, earthy tones of terracotta and burnt sienna, creating an evocative sky that hints at a setting sun. Below, a transition unfolds into lighter shades with subtle textures, suggesting a distant horizon meeting land. The artist employs an exquisite blend of colors and textures, evoking the rugged beauty of Spain's countryside. Visible layers and brushwork provide depth, inviting the viewer to explore the harmonious interplay of colors. The grounding neutrality of the lower section contrasts with the intense vibration above, achieving a delicate balance. This piece uniquely captures both tranquility and drama, embodying the spirit of Spain's natural views with an abstract flair that encourages introspection and emotional connection.
Presentation
Enric Correa is a self-taught artist whose work explores the relationship between color, matter, and emotional territory. His artistic language lies between atmospheric abstraction and a poetics of layers, where texture and light construct landscapes that evoke memory, geology, and transformation. Through constant research, he combines acrylics, enamels, sprays, and textural materials to create deep and vibrant surfaces that reinterpret Nature from an intimate and sensory perspective.
In recent years, he has expanded his practice to include expressive figuration—especially birds—which extends his abstract universe into new forms of energy and presence. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Barcelona, as well as national art fairs and competitions, and his work has been recognized by the Esart Gallery (Barcelona), the Accademia Internazionale Greci-Marino (Italy), and various international platforms. He has also been featured in specialized publications such as Revistart.
