Description
This abstract artwork features a composition dominated by a vibrant yellow that immediately captures the viewer's attention. The central yellow, textured and dynamic, evokes an intense, almost solar light, contrasting with the dark gray surrounding it. Touches of black add depth, creating further contrast. Subtle shades of green blend with the yellow, introducing an organic dimension. The rough, textured surface suggests gestural spontaneity, lending a tactile quality to the painting. The pale gray background softens the overall effect, allowing the central colors to flourish. This juxtaposition of colors and textures illustrates a tension between calm and chaos, evoking imaginary landscapes or intense emotions. A thought-provoking work, inviting the viewer to reflect on color and emotion.
Presentation
Born in Chile in 1960, Sergio Munoz also known as Pinto is a sculptor. He studied at the School of Fine Arts of Valparaiso before moving to France, where he studied drawing.
The artist uses several materials: wood, metal, leather and stone. In his hands, the materials dialogue and fuse, making his pieces unique. We pass from the ordinary beauty of the material to a sublime beauty. Painting is also present, and enriches his creations. Pablo Neruda's poems are also a source of inspiration for the artist.
Pinto exhibits his work in France, Germany and Switzerland since 1991. We could see his work in Geneva in 2007 and at the Contemporary Art Exhibition at the Carrousel Du Louvre in 2008, in Paris.
