Description
The balance is established in an abstract composition rhythmized by blocks of color. Areas of intense yellow structure the space. They intersect with shades of brown and pale pink.
A dark, horizontal line crosses the center of the support. It anchors the composition and creates geometric tension.
The material is worked in oil on canvas. The gesture is assured. The touches are broad and direct.
The background, in a neutral and bright tone, allows the colored masses to breathe.
The whole plays on contrasts of luminosity. The light seems to emanate from the yellow areas to illuminate the more earthy tones.
This painting, created in 191, explores the relationship between structure and color. The visual rendering favors the stability of the forms. Each area delimits a precise space without ever breaking the overall harmony.
The work ends with a discreet signature in the lower right corner.
