Description
The surface and edges of the painting show scratches, proof of the nomadic life of the material used by the artist-painter-fisherman before framing. This is an integral part of the charm of the work.
Presentation
Azeddine is a simple fisherman by trade. His painting is altogether joyful, colourful and engaged. An art brut in which themes as embracing couples, men half-men half-fishes made out of scales keep on coming back, dancing, as in a trance, joyful characters like fishes in the water.
Azeddine works and lives in the south of Morocco.
