Description
This captivating artwork presents a human figure sketched in earthy and turquoise tones, creating a striking contrast with the richly textured background. The deliberately blurred features of the figure evoke a certain vulnerability, while its orangey contours seem to radiate an inner energy. Alongside it, three elongated shapes stretch horizontally, appearing to float in shades of gray and black. These elements add a visual dynamism, suggesting movement and fluidity. The bold use of orange and turquoise infuses a surprising vitality, breaking with the austerity of the dominant dark tones. The blend of abstract and figurative elements encourages a deep reflection on identity and the ephemeral. With its audacious composition and expressive use of texture and color, this work challenges and fascinates, inviting the viewer to explore the visual and emotional dialogue it proposes.
Presentation
François Sauvage is a self-taught artist whose particularity is the modeling of leather. After spending fourteen years in art workshops in Paris, he developed a unique technique that allowed him to shape life-size leather figures. Exhibited and sold all over the world, this particular mastery earned him to collaborate in the renovation of prestigious places where his decoration proposals combined aesthetics and refinement.
Since 2021 he has devoted himself entirely to his passions: clay and painting.
His large-format paintings impose and reveal a palette of colors that are sometimes soothing, playful with a pure lightness, at the same time powerful, deep and sensitive.
