Les Trois Grâces, 2022

Alexandre Moore Rockefeller   New & remarkable Artists

With The Three Graces, Alexandre Moore Rockefeller revisits a major theme in art history through a contemporary and abstract lens. True to his unique artistic language, the artist appropriates this classic motif to offer a modern interpretation, where color, texture, and composition become the primary vehicles of meaning.

The composition is distinguished by the use of powerful and contrasting blocks of color, combining deep tones with luminous golden surfaces, set against an intense electric blue background. The organization of colors and forms structures the pictorial space and guides the eye within the whole, creating a controlled visual dynamic.

A vertical element, resembling a shimmering curtain with metallic reflections, spans the entire composition, unifying it. Through its interplay of textures and light, it introduces additional depth and establishes a subtle dialogue between the different colored areas. This technique reinforces the visual rhythm of the work and accentuates its formal complexity.

Created in the form of a diptych of two panels measuring 120 x 60 cm, it underlines the modernity of the pictorial approach and the impact of the work in space, fully affirming its place in contemporary abstract art.
