Description
This abstract painting unfolds a bold and dynamic composition, employing broken lines and contrasting colors. Sharp, black strokes structure the work, delineating forms with indistinct outlines, evoking human and animal figures, while touches of pink, orange, and white infuse it with captivating vitality. Accents of black add depth and texture, creating an intriguing interplay of perspective. The artist skillfully juggles figuration and abstraction, leaving room for the viewer's interpretation. Furthermore, the use of broad brushstrokes and areas of color suggests an almost chaotic yet harmoniously orchestrated movement. The interplay of forms and colors lends the work an expressive energy, captivating the eye and stimulating the imagination. This painting is a celebration of artistic experimentation, an invitation to explore the intricacies of the abstract and the concrete.
Presentation
“I have been painting continuously since leaving the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Metz in 1987.
Not being able to consider my work as a painter as being really “abstract" any more than “figurative", the idea of this oxymoron “Inabstrait ©" allowed me to define more precisely, and without Manichaeism, my painting.
“Inabstrait ©" would therefore consist in evolving freely between these two worlds, without being constrained to anything, or rather by admitting all the ways useful to the realization of a painting which would be resolutely a “drift", in the sense of the freedom of pictorial expression; thus erasing, adding, finally deciding what is good to let appear ".
