Description
This abstract artwork captivates with its vibrant interplay of colors and geometric forms. Dominated by soft pastel shades of pinks, blues, and greens, it draws the viewer into a harmonious yet dynamic composition. The painting's structure features large, overlapping rectangular blocks that create a sense of depth and movement. Each block is layered with multiple hues, exhibiting a masterful blend of opacity and translucence. The strategic use of white space punctuates the composition, providing balance and a sense of breathability amid the vivid colors. Bold strokes and a variety of textures further enhance the visual complexity, inviting contemplation and exploration. The piece's abstract nature allows for individual interpretation, making it both universally appealing and deeply personal. The artwork stands out through its confident execution and subtle evocation of emotion, making it a captivating addition to any collection.

“My main motivation is to portray the inherent beauty and harmony that exists in the inter-relationship of colour, composition and form. I like to work on several pieces simultaneously and my process involves building up layers of materials and textures. My initial layers are thin and fluid inks and watercolour. As the paintings progress I move into thicker paints, acrylics, varnishes and glazes. I even have a fondness for house paints! I love the way the work builds, it is an art in itself to know when the piece is complete."
